For lunch I went to Townline Pub and Grill which is located in the Bellevue area on the far East side Green Bay. The moment I entered the sound of the TV’s was all I could hear. The volume from the TVs was on very loud and all the televisions were tuned to the sports channel. The atmosphere of Townline is very casual and the interior has a lot of wear and tear to it. In the center of the room is a very large bar and to the right and left are tables for dining. There are also arcade games and a pool table. The carpet in one of the rooms is heavily stained and worn. The rest of the flooring is done in ceramic tile and was in need of sweeping. There are many nice large picture windows that surround three fourths of the building and on the walls there were various bar signage.
My server came quickly and was very friendly and nice. I decided to order one of their Towline specials: the Lonely guy Burger for $7.49. With my order you have a choice of unlimited chips and salsa, or unlimited regular fries or steak fries. I chose the regular fries. My hamburger consisted of one Angus beef patty seasoned with black pepper, fresh garlic, a slice of pepper jack cheese and fried onions. My hamburger and French fries came served together on one plate with a lettuce leaf, sliced tomatoes, dill pickle slices and raw onion. My burger was moist and dripping with juice from the beef and fried onions, but they put too much fresh garlic in the beef patty; for the strength of it strongly overpowered the flavor of the meat, onions and cheese. I am a garlic lover but fresh garlic is very potent and one should be careful when using it. The regular French fries were thin crinkle cut fries. They were pale in color and undercooked. Unfortunately, they had no flavor and tasted very bland. My server informed me they call it the lonely guy burger because there are so many fried onions on it, but after eating this burger I will be a lonely girl from that powerful garlic.

A gal pal and I were doing a little house remodeling shopping. You know the kind where Menards and Home Depot are your new BFF's. And seeing how you "save big money at menards" we thought it would even out if we spent big money at a bar. But lucky for me this is Green Bay, home of cheap beer and cheese curds (and yes, I know Green Bay offers so much more) that for a quick afternoon pick me up we didn't have to drop wads of cash.
In between the super long drive from Menards and Home Depot exists a place that serves cold beer and food with a smile. We made a pit stop at Townline Sports Bar. There are two Townlines: one in Howard and one in Bellevue. We visited the one in Bellevue. Townline used to be K2; I want to say maybe a year ago. Townline is a pizza, pub and grill place. When you enter, the restaurant part is on the left and the bar part is straight ahead and to the right. We only had time for one so we went directly to the bar. It was around 6 or 7PM and the bar was a bit full so we opted for one of the many hi top tables in the bar area. A server quickly came over, got our order and was back in a flash with goodies. I was in a wild mood so I ordered a root beer and my girlfriend ordered a Coors Light. The Baumeister bottle set me back 2 bucks and to tap the Rockies was $3. Townline offers many more beverage choices. On draught they carry Blue Moon, Spotted Cow, Miller Lite, Bud light, Bud, Coors Light, Fat Tire, Leinies Honey
and I'm sure I'm missing a couple. In bottles they have a large selection of all Leinies, Sam, Bud, Miller and Coors products along with Bass, Dos Equis, Corona, and 1554. Not in the mood for beer or wine? No problem, check out their array of liquor choices and have at it. On Fridays one of their specials is with your order of Perch, Leinie's Honey is $2 a pint. Cool deal.
Townline does accept credit cards but if you're in the need for cash there is an ATM inside by the door. They also have a pool table in the back along with darts and other arcade/gambling games too. You can wine and dine, play a few games, mix n' mingle or simply relax at the bar.
