Bar Review of Napalese Lounge in Green Bay, WI

It's a Saturday night. Late night. Where do you go? Why, downtown of course. With vastly different bars and nightclubs riddling the streets there is definitely something for everyone. On this particular night for my drunk-seeking crew we had our sights set on, well, nowhere yet. We thought we would just meet up and see what place called our names. I pulled up and found the perfect spot directly across from the Meyer Theater and when my friends and I stepped out of the car and looked around, The Nines was hollerin' at us to come and play.
The Nines is the old Foxxies. I moved here when Foxxies was already closed so I won't comment on how different and great the joint looks now. When you walk in there are hi-top tables on the left and the bar part is on the right. The lights are dimmed low, you know to make everyone prettier ;) and the music was bumpin'. There is a small stage in the front where they will have acoustic musicians sing their little hearts out. Check our event calendar for dates or give the bar a call to find out what's going on. When we arrived the place was P-A-C-K-E-D. Looks like The Nines is doing something so very right. Keep in mind this is a downtown, Washington Street bar; it's on the upscale side, but not ultra fancy. You can leave your tux at home along with your board shorts. The atmosphere is casual and the bartenders are really, really nice.
I ordered a Coors Light, which is shocking I know, and the others ordered Captain N' Coke, a (bottled) New Castle and just a regular Dirty Martini. I should mention that this downtown hotspot specializes in martinis. They even have a martini list with prices starting at $6.50. With that being said, this was no "regular Dirty Martini" this heavenly elixir was awesome. I'm not a huge fan of Dirty Martinis, they're just too dirty for me, but this one-- this one was, wow, really good. The olives the bartender put in there were stuffed with Blue Cheese and as my girlfriend said with her mouth full, "MMMmmm, these are so good!" The Nines has a full liquor bar, lots of bottled beer, and a few tappers. I could only make out Blue Moon as one of them. There was a dream catcher type tap but I haven't a clue what beer that could be. But that's okay, now that I know the martinis are out of this world, I can easily busy myself with those.
