The Bottle Room is located in the Howard Suamico area. I stopped in to check out this wine bar and to have lunch. The Bottle Room is very deep and large inside, and designed with beautiful upscale contemporary decor. Their main focus is on wines and crafted beers. They offer a large inventory of various wines that are nicely displayed on one side of the room, with fashionable gift items placed throughout. In the center is a nice large bar to sit at, and many high top wood tables for additional seating. There is a section with grouped leather chairs and a sofa that is situated by a cozy gas fireplace.
There are also many large picture windows that give you a nice view of the woods.
The Bottle Room’s menu consists of tapas, wraps, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and soup. I was given a menu and was told that my server would be right with me. My server came over and told me the soup of the day. She was very friendly. I chose their Italian Panini for $9.99 which comes with kettle potato chips or for $1.50 more you can substitute a salad. I decided upon the kettle chips and also ordered a cup of the Tomato Basil
Bisque Soup for $3.99. My server inquired if I would like my soup with my sandwich or before, and I said I would prefer before. My soup came served in a unique white modern serving dish. My soup was warm; it had a good thick creamy texture with a hint of fresh basil which tasted wonderful. Soon after I finished with my soup, out came my Panini. It consisted of hard salami, capicola, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, and creamy Italian dressing. My Panini was a medium size sandwich cooked through nicely and was assembled on flat bread. The kettle chips were fresh as was the large kosher pickle spear. The Bottle Room also offers live entertainment on the weekends.

Every now and then I try to keep it classy. TRY, being the key word here, people. So a gal pal and I ventured out to The Bottle Room to wine and dine and be the proper ladies we are. The Bottle Room is located in Howard and is a somewhat new place; it opened around May or June of this year. One of the beauties of The Bottle Room is that it’s not only a wine/craft beer hotspot, but they also offer a retail side too. Like that bottle of wine you’re drinking? Buy another one and take it home with you. Enjoying that craft beer you’re sipping on? You can buy a case of that too. Pretty cool, huh?
The inside of The Bottle Room exudes a cozy atmosphere filled with warmth thanks to the
dark woods, exposed brick, fireplace and soft music. There are couches, chairs, hi-top tables, regular tables and bar seats to sit at. There is even a back party room to accommodate large groups of people. When we were there most of the tables were full and a couple was loungin’ away on one of the couches. We chose to sit at a hi-top in close proximity to the goods, I.E., refreshing classy drinks at the bar. After we sat ourselves our server for the evening came over and gave us several menus. One for drinks and one for eats. With a name like The Bottle Room one would think that they would have more than a few choices for wine and beer. And you would be correct. Their wine menu reads many different reds, whites, sparkling and dessert/ports. They also offer wine flights. We ordered the Red Rock Wine Flight for $14 and it consists of four 2oz red wines. They were Santos Beck, a malbec, Scott Harvey, a syrah, Rock Wall, a tannat, and Ramon Bilbao, a tempranillo. We liked the malbec and the syrah, the tannat was okay, but the tempranillo was not our thing. But it’s awesome that we had a chance to try out several wines at
once. If you’re not in the mood for wine, they have a great selection of craft beers to try. There is a small selection on draught, and many more in bottles. Some of craft beers include: Crispin Cider, Wisco Disco, Hinterland Cherry Wheat Ale, several Sam Adams, Blue Moon, New Glarus, Flying Dog and lots more. And they do allow some typical beers such as Miller Lite, MGD, Coors Light and the like to be drunk. If you’re in the mood for liquor, then out their Scotch and Liquor Menu which has a list of specialty cocktails, scotch, whiskey, bourbon, brandy, cognac and cordials.
