Slammajamma... Slamm a jamm a... It's just so much fun to say. This band is all about fun, entertaining their fans and thoroughly enjoying every minute of playtime. The members of Slammajamma started performing in 2007 and have quickly established a faithful following of fans. In fact, if you haven't heard of them before, the first time you do you may feel like you're crashing a private party. That's not the case it's just the "one big family" atmosphere the band creates with its audience. Right away you will sense the talent each member brings to the group. They are happy to be doing something they love, play music, at the same time they are serious about delivering music that is flawless, tight, and compelling. Meet the band: Peter Gapinski vocals/keyboard, Jasec drums, Kevin Greer guitar, this night happened to be "rotating" bass player night, Peter Fischer (1st) bass, Lee Klemens (2nd) bass/vocals, Tom Smith guitar/harmonica/vocals, Tony Wirtz "TW" lead vocals. The unbelievable range in their song list went on and on. Most definitely a true rock 'n' roll band, with covers from artists such as The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Police, Thin Lizzy, The Eagles, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Steve Miller Band, and as I said on and on and on. Mixed intermittently were the bands original songs, which varied in style and sound, like "Christina's Cryin" and "Exploded' all offering great lyrics and blended vocal harmonies. As with many things in this band the collaboration of their original songs was a group effort. Slammajamma has a great spectrum of vocal talent TW, the lead singer, has a deep powerful voice that lends itself perfectly to many artists and did a fabulous Elvis medley bringing everybody out to dance. Tom hit it with Beatles and Police covers while Peter G. swept us away with Michael McDonald and some Pink Floyd. What night wouldn't be complete without Kiss's "Rock and Roll All Nite." If you are looking to let loose and listen to some great music come check out Slammajamma they will fill your cup full of rock 'n' roll.
