Bar Review of Sass in Green Bay, WI

There are more than a few bars off Broadway on Green Bay's west side. In fact there are some that don't even have signs out in front so you know that they exist. I pass by them all the time and I don't realize that those bars are sitting there with cold beer, cold Coors Light beer, waiting for me to walk in. My partner in crime and I decided enough was enough; it's time to go get that damn cold Coors Light! The bar we stumbled upon was Sass. Sass is a gay friendly bar that caters more to women. Sorry boys, you're going to have to find Mr. Right-now somewhere else.
Sass is definitely one of those bars that are a bit on the hidden side, with no big signs that say 'I have cold beer' but they do have a rainbow beer light hanging in their window so you can't miss it. Sass was established in 1992 and still draws in a crowd. The place was pretty full with the bar seats taken and the actual middle of the room was full of ladies. We shimmied up to the bar and tapped the Rockies. Two Coors Lights were 5 bucks. Yep, you heard me, 5 bucks. That's on a Saturday night at around 9PM, domestic bottles are 2.50 each. I think I'm in love. Sass also carries a decent amount of all the Bud, Miller and Coors products but if you're looking for more, how should I say this, unique beer or more imports then this is not the place for you. This, however, is totally the place for me and my love of light beers. Can I get a hells yeah!? No? Moving on then...
Sass is a big square shaped place with a pool table right smack in the middle, darts in the back and some arcade type games in the front. The bar part is on the left side wall and there are hi top tables on the left side. There is also another part, maybe a stage area part, but it was closed off in order to keep the heat blastin' at a good temp. I'm guessing that they open it more for summertime fun.
Sass's bartender was super friendly as were all the people. It was a laid back atmosphere and all the party people seemed to agree, everyone was just kinda chill. My friend and I had a good time and now I'm excited to see what other hidden treasures are in Green Bay.
