Restaurant Review of Red Lobster Green Bay, WI

Green Bay Restaurant Reviews by Patricia SummerfieldBy Patricia Summerfield

Red Lobster restaurant is bright, open, and decorated in a nautical theme. It was busy the night I dined there so I registered at the hostess desk and was informed that it would be a 20 minute wait. I went into the bar/lounge area and was immediately struck by frigid air. I sat down at the bar directly in front of the bartender, but he proceeded to wash and rinse 3 to 4 glasses before he acknowledged me and asked for my order. As I waited and sipped my cocktail I could not help but cringe at the loud and constant smashing of empty bottles the two bartenders were exuberantly throwing out in the garbage can behind the bar.

When I was brought to my booth in the dining area the air was a bit warmer. The server was very punctual and friendly and made sure if I had any questions to please let him know. The atmosphere was noisy and very busy. I ordered the Ultimate Feast for $24.50 it consists of a 5oz. lobster tail, snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi, and Walt's Favorite Shrimp, which is deep fried. Included with the meal are freshly baked cheddar bay biscuits and a lettuce salad. Even though it was a very busy night the food came quickly and the server was attentive throughout the meal.

My salad was large and very fresh with an abundance of dressing and the cheddar bay biscuits were warm, heavy, and delicious. My platter of seafood was brought out immediately after finishing my salad. Everything was hot and cooked just right. The lobster and snow crab were tender and succulent with the melted butter. The shrimp scampi seasoned with garlic and butter were tasty as were the deep fried shrimp. Their baked potato was one of the best I have had; it was very soft and flavorful inside when mixed with the sour cream and butter.
