Disappointing Yet Tasty, 07-08-2009

I have eaten at this restaurant before and have had some very good meals. The service however is consistently poor. My wife and I ate there this evening and were very surprised and disappointed that it was so dirty. There was one other couple in the restaurant but almost every table had dirty dishes stacked on them. The floor was also very dirty. When my wife asked for a beer list the waitress said the owner forgot to turn in the application so they couldn't sell any, take it off the menu. We ordered fresh spring rolls & crab cakes. The spring rolls were very very good and the crab cakes were not. We had Pad Thai Chicken for our entree and it was also very very good. As I said earlier, I have eaten here before and always had very good meals but because of consistently poor service and it being so dirty tonight I will have to give it serious thought before going back, if I ever do. If the dining area is that dirty I'm afraid to see what the kitchen looks like. Very disappointing!

As stated, our service was absolutely horrible. Not only was our waitress slow and unknowledgeable about everything on the menu, she repeatedly forgot our drink and food orders. Normally, I would say, "Could you write this down?" but she did and still couldn't get it right. After the confusion of our waitress, all can be usually be forgiven when you get that hot delicious meal which you've been waiting for. Unfortunately for us, our meal was neither hot or delicious. And to make matters worse, they couldn't even bring our meals out at the same time. Some of us were being served our en trees while the others were left to stare at the empty appetizer plates. It tasted much like the boxed "Thai" dishes you can purchase at the supermarket. I love Thai food, and I've had plenty from all around the country and I can honestly say I've never had any quite as bad. Just when you thought our waitress may be able to finish her job, it was proven that she couldn't. She piled up our dirty dishes at the end of our table and that's where sat there until we finished dining. And again, this can be partially forgiven except for the fact that her only other table was a table of two. Aside from bad service and less than desirable food, the prices were outrageous considering the quality of the food. If you're looking for good Thai food, you're better off buying from the supermarket aisle for a fraction of the price.
