Restaurant Review of Mustard Seed Cafe in Green Bay, WI

I went to lunch at the Mustard Seed Cafe which is located in Bellevue on the east side of Green Bay. Since it was a beautiful summer day their charming outside patio beckoned me to dine out instead of inside. The patio area has a flagstone pathway which leads to a small herb and flower garden. There is lush ivy growing on a partition next to a weather picket wood fence which partially encloses the dining area and a nice canvas gazebo with five to six wrought iron tables underneath covered with vinyl tablecloths and linen napkins with silverware.
My server sat me down with a menu and then brought me a large glass of ice water and told me of their specials of that day. I decided on a home brewed glass of iced tea for $1.75 and the half and half which is a choice of sandwich, with tomato bisque soup and a choice of a side for $8.75. For my sandwich I chose the Chef's signature Harvest Panini, and for my side I chose the fresh fruit of the day. The lunch was attractively served on a large platter with the soup, sandwich, and fruit colorfully arranged on plain white dishes. The in house tomato bisque was very delicious thick and creamy with a delicate flavor.
The Panini tasted wonderful; I liked the balance of the sweet bread layered with the granny smith apple slices, turkey slices, and the semi-sweet chutney. The portions were very substantial and the fruit consisted of nice pieces of watermelon, blueberries, cantaloupe, and strawberries. The service throughout my lunch was very attentive and enjoyable. Mustard Seed Café serves only breakfasts and lunches.
