Restaurant Review of Marias Green Bay, WI

Maria's is a local Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican fare. The interior of the restaurant has serapes hanging throughout, many fresh green plants on the window sills, a bar with a flat screen television and various tables. Lively Mexican music played in the background along with the Spanish channel on the television. The waitress was very friendly and freely answered any questions I had about the menu. I ordered their Fajitas des res O Pollo for $11.95 which came with a side of rice and beans. I also had a choice of corn or flour tortillas and I chose a few of each.

Fajitas at Marias Green Bay, WIAs I waited for my lunch I was served fresh chips with homemade salsa in a basket. The chips were fresh with a tasty salty crunch and the salsa was also fresh which had a small bite to it. I was then given an empty plate with rolled silverware, extra thick napkins, and water served in a tall plastic red glass. The fajitas were brought out sizzling on a hot plate with six small tortillas kept warm in a covered side dish, the beans, rice, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes were served on a separate plate. The beans and rice had a nice flavor. The fajitas had large white grilled pieces of chicken, large slices of green peppers, sliced onions, tomatoes, and melted mozzarella cheese on top. The fajitas were well seasoned and not oily; it was well prepared and very tasty. For condiments the waitress brought two plastic squeeze bottles one called red sauce, which tasted like a mild taco sauce, and the other called green sauce, which was very hot and tasted like a mixture of chilies and jalapeños.
