Review:
Bay Park Square is home to 2 neighboring steak houses.....Texas Roadhouse, and The Longhorn Steakhouse. Many times we have enjoyed a fun time at Texas Roadhouse....so we decided to give the Longhorn a try. It is a newer facility in the Ashwaubenon area, with super clean and groomed exterior and interior. We began at the bar for a drink, finding the bartenders friendly and plenty of sports on the big screen TV's. We munched on the peanuts and were shortly seated by our hostess.
The 6 people in our party split there decision between the the tenderloin steak special....named Flo's Filet, and the Ribeye special....named Outlaw Ribeye....but all 6 of us loved our steaks!!
Our sides were awesome as well, the potatoes...... the mashed, and sweet, and loaded baked were delicious. The brandied apples were delectable, and the cole slaw was great, although not as spicy as one would expect for "jalepano" coleslaw. The portions were generous, filled us up without going overboard. We shared the Caramel Apple Goldrush and Golden Nugget Fried Cheesecake for dessert, and found both selections as pretty as they were tasty. All in all, a great meal. If there were any downside, I would say our waitress seemed to hang around our table a bit long.....chatting about her personal life a bit more than we cared for.....but that may be our personal preference. Patrons here seemed to be a bit more dressed up, enjoying special occasions.
So to compare Longhorn to it's neighbor....Texas Roadhouse is a wonderful place for more casual, boisterous, laid back fun, while Longhorn is a more quiet, intimate, upscale, classy, yet pricier choice.
We love them both !
