Laid back but definitely ready to entertain that is how "Soup" Campbell approaches his music. Part of the Green Bay music scene for many years, Jim is self-taught and credits another well-known Green Bay musician, Sam Brooker, as his mentor. Listening to Jim you feel like you could just be hanging around a bon-fire with close friends, at one point he shares how he’s getting texts from his son, pulling the crowd into his world. Taking requests, his selections cater to the crowd, and flow effortlessly through the generations. An acoustic guitar, harmonica and awesome sound system are all Jim needs to put out songs ranging from Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, OAR to Eagles, Black Crowes and James Taylor. His voice easily mimics these artists, but he incorporates his own feelings giving the songs unique dimension and intensity. If you haven’t heard "Soup" definitely make the effort. He can be heard most Thursdays at Coaches Corner usually around 9pm.
