Eve's restaurant is on the fourth floor overlooking the Fox River. The dining area and lounge / bar area have massive picture windows with a 180 degree view of the river and beautiful sunsets. As you get off the elevator there is a large cloak room that also contains a long narrow mirror which I feel is a nice fixture to have before you go into dine. The lounge area features a large bar with cocktail tables. They also have cheese spreads, crackers, and pretzels with dip for your enjoyment while you wait. They have a full bar with an extensive wine list and they make their old fashions from scratch. The cocktail waitress was good natured and informative of the various cocktails.

The hostess brought me to my table which was set with white linens and a votive candle with a table next to the window. The waitress promptly came to the table and informed me of the specials and asked if I would like anything from the bar. They have a very diverse menu, I decided on the Stuffed Baked Sole with Crabmeat stuffing for $19.99. The dinner comes with a relish tray, dinner rolls, and assorted crackers. You also a have choice of potato: stuffed baked, French fries, baked, cottage fries, hash browns, vegetables, rice ,or cottage cheese and a choice of soup or garden salad. I chose vegetables for which there was a choice of green beans or vegetable blend; I chose the beans and garden salad with quasbi cucumber dressing. The dressing for my salad was creamy with a great burst of flavor which I enjoyed. My baked sole was quite impressive, it was very large and supplely stuffed. The fish was moist and flakey and the stuffing had a subtle and savory flavor. The beans were warm and served plain in a side dish. For dessert I chose the lemon poppy seed torte for $4.99. It was scrumptious - full of poppy seeds with a sweet lemony flavor, yummy. The views, the many different selections for everything, and the very obliging staff made for a wonderful experience.
