I have eaten here many times. The food is always excellent. If you like taco bell or los banditos you will hate this place. Try the rib eye tacos!

Several of my business friends swear by the high quality and reasonable prices of this Mexican restaurant, so the next time we had to meet, we decided this quick and tasty location would be perfect.
Not having dined here before, I followed my companions lead, and ordered the daily special, which that day was a burrito with green sauce. While we were waiting for our food, we nibbled on the awesome free chips and salsa. I was also enlightened as to why the Coca-Cola in Mexico tastes different than the American version, so I ordered the authentic Mexican Coca-Cola bottle. It indeed is a nicer, crisper Coke than I am used to, very pleasant.
The burritos are indeed huge, and although I agree with the former reviewer on here, and concur that it is a bit plain, I can tell that this is authentic Mexican food by a family that is familiar with the cuisine. I will certainly return to try the more fanciful options, as really, the price and tastiness and service cannot be beat. All around a great, clean, friendly place to have a quick, tasty, economical lunch !

Good food and cheap prices. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is I think their burritos are on the plain side. We ordered a combo platter of a taco, a tostada and a burrito. The burrito only had meat in it, nothing else. It was just a big 'ol roll of meat. I dunno what I was expecting but not quite that.

We eat at El Sarape about twice a month, sometimes doing carry out. We have our favorite dishes (Fajita salad being one) but have tried a lot of things on the menu. Everything is always fresh and delicious, and we always take out of town visitors there. You won't be disappointed. I especially like to have lunch there on a dark, cold winter day...the ambiance always picks me up, and the $4.99 lunch special cannot be beat.

We have been dining at El Sarape for many years and have never had a bad meal there. The service is very attentive and the food is fabulous. Their burritos are huge and very tasty. If you want something that will satisfy your appetite and is inexpensive, try the chalupa. It is to die for and only $3.25. Chips and salsa are very good also. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Green Bay.
