This band is on the music scene, red hot fast track, with every element necessary to make a "blow your mind" experience the very first time you hear them. Dot Dot Dot is a power-pop band from Chicago, emphasis on power. They played their first show in March 2007 at Kelly's Bleacher right here in Wisconsin, and are quickly making their mark, as one of the top five finalists on Fox's reality show competition, "The Next Great American Band" in 2007. Band members, Rose lead guitarist/vocals, and "Little Lisa" bass/vocals both formerly musicians from Catfight teamed up with Adam lead vocals/guitar, Michael keyboards, and Stephan drummer all formerly of the band The Fabulous Janes to become Dot Dot Dot. I'll admit I had not heard them before, but had been told by quite a few people to GO check them out! Right away I was impressed with the professional light and stage set-up and the fact that even before they came on stage their fans started to conjugate on the floor in primo position, directly in front. They exploded on stage with energy so intense the crowd's interaction was immediate. Adam has a charismatic, theatrical presence you fall in love with and he can cover it all Billy Idol, Naked Eyes, Bryan Adams, Kanye West, Whitesnake the play list went on and on... "Little Lisa" had fun with Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" which had all the guys going crazy and Rose punched out an awesome "Flag Pole Sitta" by Harvey Danger. Musical and vocal talent oozes from this band. Original song, "Some Girls," had awesome guitar riffs and super catchy chorus from their self-titled debut CD , Dot Dot Dot (2007). Dancing was non-stop and the band took one break, playing for a solid three hours. The bands "ring leader" Lisa was kind enough to field a few questions about the band:

How do they maintain that level of energy?
"PLAIN OLD LOVE WHAT WE DO! We are musical athletes."
How do you perceive yourselves as a band, your sound, style and do you see that changing in the near future?
LL: "We are a hard working, fun loving, high energy band, that looks forward to playing our hearts out for all our awesome fans every week. Our future release of our sophomore CD in 2009, will be pop/dance flavored, which we are currently working on. The only thing we hope that changes in the future is that we can put more smiles on peoples faces tomorrow than we did today!"
There is no question that is exactly what they will do. Dot Dot Dot is currently touring in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Check out their upcoming gigs.
