Beer Pong. (NOUN) {bir pong} A very competitive drinking game in which players throw a ping-pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in a cup of beer on the other end. The game typically consists of two two-player teams and multiple cups set up on each side in a triangle formation. There are no official rules, so rules may vary widely, though usually there are six or ten plastic cups arranged in a triangle on each side.

I had a beer pong tourney last Saturday night, and I needed to bring my A-game. I needed a place to go to work on my hand/eye coordination skills--or lack thereof. A girlfriend of mine suggested Dyckesville Bowl. It's so on. Grabbing my usual partner in crime and another friend we headed down the highway in 5 o'clock traffic. Ha, just kidding because you guys have NO traffic! I love it.

We swaggered in the door like we owned the place, and this place is huge. You have the bowling lanes on one side and the bar part on the other. There is also a separate arcade game room to play in. I took notice of the hours and Dyckesville Bowl opens at 11AM daily but it's closed on Thursdays. Keep that in mind, it's a little bit of a drive to get there. I went to get us beers and this is the cool part, you can get them in frosted mugs! They have limited beers on tap: a Lienie's, Miller Lite, Hi Life, and root beer. Yeah, that's right, I said root beer :) Just because they serve beer here doesn't mean the kiddies can't enjoy a cold one too. The beers are only $1.75 each. Being a newbie to Green Bay, I'm still on Chicago prices, this is a real treat. They also have a full liquor bar if you're not in the mood for beer. But let's be real, beer and bowling go hand in hand. Unless you're under 21, then ROOT beer and bowling go hand in hand.

Being in Green Bay means you have to try the cheese curds at some point. I love cheese but I couldn't understand the big deal about the things. Luckily, my partner in crime made me try a basket of them. I don't normally like to eat and drink, but I felt like I couldn't pass up this chance, she was making such a big deal on how good they were. Oh man, was I so happy that I tried them – Holy Cow, or more appropriately Holy Cheese Curds. Those tasty little treats are no joke. I wasn't too sure what to expect but I was delightfully surprised.

After some food in our bellies and mugs of beer in our hands it was time to bowl. I was ready to show my friends my bowling prowess. We bowled a match and let's just say my A-game is not so A-ish. Maybe more like C-ish...But, hey, I found a cool spot for some cheap beer, delicious cheese curds, and fun bowling. Oh, and about the beer pong... Total annihilation. Looks like bowling paid off :)
