Restaurant Review of China Palace in Green Bay, WI

I was hungry for some Chinese cuisine so I went for lunch at China Palace, which is located Downtown on Green Bay’s east side. It is a very clean and small rectangular restaurant with rows of tables, and right above the register are colored pictures of their many entrees for you to view. Adorning the walls are various Chinese pictures and a buffet section is set up towards the back.

For appetizers I ordered two Spring Rolls for $1.25 each, two Pork Roast Egg Rolls for $1.15 each, and for my main course I ordered one the Chef’s Specialties, Happy Family for $11.95. I was quickly brought one plate, condiments of hot mustard, sweet and sour sauce and then my rolls. My rolls were fried and served hot, the spring rolls had nice a blend of fresh vegetables with tiny fresh shrimp inside and my pork egg roll was a little larger in size with minced pork, vegetables, and a hint of peanut butter. Both were delicious. A food runner brought out my entrée, a small bowl of white rice and an oval platter which was overflowing with hot succulent shrimp, lobster pieces, slivered chicken, pork, beef and scallops with fresh Chinese vegetables of carrots, baby corn, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, pea pods, and Napa cabbage. And all was mixed with a Hunan sauce. It was truly scrumptious! The sauce was not oily and everything was hot and fresh. The service was very efficient and quick and I appreciated that I could order my food without MSG. China Palace satisfied my craving with a delightfully fulfilling lunch.
