I am an unabashed Caffe Espresso fan. It is our go-to restaurant under almost any circumstances. I think two things have to occur and for the love affair with CE to exist. You need to get it. And you need to find your dish. The dark, speakeasy vibe, the jazz music, the cheap chianti that comes in a carafe, and the seemingly random murals, posters from music festivals long passed. Could be a tucked away bistro in Montmarte, but it feels like home. And then you meet The Dish. This is the meal that is so perfect that you never order anything else as long as you live. For my sister it is the full Greek salad with the side of hummus. Husband and my friend each are devotees of the jalapeno chicken. And I have been in a committed relationship with the tenderloin shish-ka-bob for several years now.Just like heaven. It also doesn't hurt that they have the most rock solid and professional wait staff in town. Cool, dependable, and attentive. It is one of the few places I go where I order wine, appetizer (best CCQ in GB), entree, dessert and coffee. Large menu and nightly specials. Whenever I arrive and find out Tres Leches is on the dessert menu, I feel like I just won the lottery. Caffe Espresso is like any great thing in life...it never lets you down and it can still surprise you.

I know a lot of people really like this place. Personally the decor is not my style. It's really very dark inside and reminds me of something way back when my grandparents were kids - like Al Capone or another bootlegger should greet you on the inside or something. It's also really small, small bar, not much seating. I think they have a pretty big menu and probably something for everyone. I love gyro meat and they have it on the spit. I think it's the best I've ever had in green bay. However the portion for what I got was kind of skimpy. I got the greek salad which comes with gyro meat, but it was only 4 dinky strips. I just expected a little more - otherwise it was good.
