The food is bland - I assume because this the clientele are considerably elderly. The eggs I had for breakfast were rubbery. Not the worst meal I have had in town but I will not go there again (I've been there three times hoping the food quality and service would be better).

I have been going to this restaurant for years and they have great food and great service. Especially love the Friday night fish - one of the best places for perch in Green Bay I think. Often order the specials that aren't on the menu (love the turkey reuben!) On the menu I love the croissant sandwiches. Great family restaurant, great people.

I don't get the appeal of this place, 12-21-2009

I've tried this place twice because I love old style cafes.
The first time I ordered a Wisconsin standard: hot beef sandwich. from the description I expected actual home cooked beef. What I got was rubbery sliced deli beef smothered in packaged gravy so salty that I had to scrape it off because it was pickling my tongue.
Then I figured I'd be safe with an omelet. It was neither light nor fluffy, just basically a flat, fried scrambled egg wrapped around what tasted like Velveeta and canned mushrooms.
So if you're looking for an old style diner with great home made food, this isn't it.
