Bar Review The Bar East in Green Bay, WI

For Monday Night Football some friends wanted to go to the Bar. And so I thought, cool, which one? His response was not "a bar" but "the Bar." Again I thought, I get it, a bar but there are so many bars in Green Bay, pick one. After what I heard to be a slap to the forehead and some back and forth conversation we got it squared away. I was on my way to the Bar. Seriously, who names a bar, the Bar? It's quite confusing. Oh, and to be more specific its the Bar on Lime Kiln. Apparently there's ANOTHER Bar. Typing this, you must think I'm kinda slow. After that conversation, I can't really argue with ya there...
We parked on the side of the place and walked in thru side doors.
I was met with a stinky blast of what smells like a gym locker, and to my surprise that's exactly what it was. Attached to the Bar were 4 beachy volleyball courts in this enormous gymnasium which as I said smells like how it should. What fun! Being 5' 3" I am no volleyball girl, but when I lived in Florida I had many girlfriends who were Beach-Volleyball-Girls-or-Die kinda enthusiasts, so I enjoy watching a good game or two. Although, it did look like you had to be in a team, but you can easily sign up for upcoming events on their website. Further inside there was a place in the corner for a bean bag tourney which I found out is convening the 28th of this month. I might have to go and see what all the fuss is about. And of course, pool tables, darts and arcade games were displayed throughout the place.
My friends who insisted that we meet them here were already seated at a table, and not even 5 seconds passed from when my partner in crime and I sat down and the server came over to ask us our drinks. She had me even before she finished asking us for our drinks. She was so on top of things, I loved it. I ordered a classic Miller Lite draft while my girlfriend orders a Tanq and tonic. Stick to the beers people, her T&T was kinda gross- AND I love gin and tonics but for some reason this one just didn't set the bar for the Bar. I like mine with lime, actually extra limes and this one didn't even come with one. But my classic Miller Lite tasted great :) And they were only $2.50 a pint. Not a bad price at all. And the gin and tonic was under $5 so the drinks are reasonably priced here. Plus, we had some Leinie girls walking about giving us tastes tests of the amber ale and of their new seasonal beer,
Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest was a little too strong for me, I like my lite beers and there, my friends, was no lite about it. The amber ale was okay, if I had to drink it. And they were free so, I had to drink it.
The whole point of going out that night was for Monday night football, but in the end we were so busy talking and laughing that I think we only watched maybe 5 minutes of the game. The Bar is a good place to get completely lost with your friends while not hurting your wallet at the same time. And if you have lame friends there are plenty of games or arcade games for you to play so they don't seem that boring ;)
