Bar Review of the Bar on Holmgren Way in Green Bay, WI

It was brought to my attention that since I have been to the Bar East I should go to the Bar on Holmgren. I didn't exactly want to admit out loud that I haven't been because, well, aren't the two bars just the same? Now I can truthfully say, yes AND no.

The Bar on Holmgren is located right next door to Stadium View and across the street from a little known stadium that houses a little known football team. The Packers, have you heard of them? Anyway, before and after all the home games the Bar is jam packed with live bands, food and drink specials and, oh yeah, the entire town of Green Bay. Even on non-game days this place is still pretty crowded. As I said earlier, this Bar is a bit of the same with the other Bar. The same in a good way. Both have super friendly bartenders and staff, both are huge buildings able to hold huge amounts of people, the same fun-loving crowd of customers, the numerous large screen TV's for your viewing pleasure, live bands and drink and food specials. It's no wonder they took all the good qualities and turned it into six different Bars now. (I think six). Too much of a good thing is never enough.

Now onto what sets the Bar apart from other Bars. Holmgren has three different party rooms or private rooms that are more than equipped to handle all your party or perhaps business meeting needs. Of course, there are the usual dart boards and pool tables but they have a little something extra – ping pong tables! I love ping pong. I stink at it but still really like it. You might not exactly enjoy their outdoor patio in the upcoming months but, for you polar bears and people wearing your long underwear with pride, they have horse shoe pits. You can go there to eat, drink or just be merry; the Bar really has something for everyone.
