Bar Review of Swobey's in Green Bay, WI

It was late Wednesday night and our party group was dwindling. Some people just can't hang with the big boys. And when I say big boys, I mean me and my partner in crime. We said our pleasant good-byes to the rest of the group and then my friend and I headed to Swobey's.
Swobey's is located just off Mason Street in the Green Bay East Neighborhood. And if you ask anyone you meet, it seems like EVERYONE has been to Swobey's. You may go to Swobey's for several reasons, but the most important ones are: cheap drinks, live music, and that fact that everyone else is there anyway so you might as well join them. If you're ever bored, go here, because they are always open and ready to go. Swobey's is a decent sized place. There's more than enough room for a bar, a stage for the musicians to rock out on, some hi-top tables, and dart boards while still being *able to hold the town of Green Bay. *Please note, that last statement cannot be verified.
Most nights Swobey's has some sort of entertainment going on, whether it's a karaoke night, a band night, or an open jam-type-session night. The bartenders are super friendly and make pretty strong drinks. Oh, yeah and beer is super cheap there too. Even if you don't make it to a Happy Hour deal, you won't lose your wallet. Or maybe you will, if you enjoy their drink prices a little too much, if you get my meaning.
As for what types of drinks Swobey's has, on draught they carry my faves: Coors Light and Bud Light. If they carry more beers on tap that I missed, I apologize; it was in full swing there so my eyes weren't exactly on the tappers. Yes that means I suck. For the bottled variety, they have all the Miller, Bud and Coors Lights products that are the standard around most bars in Green Bay. But if you're not in the mood for beer, you have a fully stocked liquor bar that sure gets a lot of use. It's true, I saw.
You want cheap drinks, music, and a lively atmosphere? Go to Swobey's.
