Review of Saint Michael's Pub in Green Bay, WI

This week's adventure took me to Saint Michael's Pub in Allouez. A couple friends and I were out and about on a Saturday night and it was kinda late but we wanted to stop somewhere for a couple beers. Cheap beers, that is. One of my girlfriends suggested St. Mike's since it was so close to where we live. She told me it was across from Jimmy Seas. I know where Jimmy's is but I couldn't recall seeing this bar whenever I drive by that area. But sure enough, there was St. Mike's in all its cheap beer glory. This particular bar reminds me of an old school pub of sorts. It was super clean but it had that feel of classic dive bar-ness. I'm not sure if it was the dark interior, the old type bar chairs or just the ultra relaxed vibe in the air but this place had all that time-honored charm.
Right when you walk in the bar is to your left and with plenty of seats and there are some tables and chairs too. You can also play pool or throw some darts if just sitting and drinking isn't your thing. We chose to sit at the bar. Actually everyone that was there chose to sit at the bar. The bar was full and people were standing and mingling all around the bar part but no one really sat at the tables. That's the type of place St. Mike's is; you go there to socialize with the other regulars, customers, and even Mike himself. Not to get huddled away in a corner. You also go there to get $1.50 tappers. Yep, that's right. I'm not a huge fan of Miller Lite, but when it's a buck fifty it will be my new best friend. And I have to say my new BF and I got along great that night! Saint Michael's Pub also has beer of the bottled kind. Take your pick with Miller Products, Bud Products, PBR, and you guessed it, Coors ones too. There is also a full liquor bar for anything you can think of. My girlfriend wanted a round of shots, but no ordinary ones, she wanted some blackberry liquor thing and, well, she got it. Gross, I know. But I love her anyway. And I loved St. Mike's. It was a nice night for not breaking your wallet. Oh, and I should apologize about the no pictures… maybe you could use your imagination or better yet, go and check it out for yourself :)
