Restaurant Review of Panda House in Green Bay, WI

I was in the mood for some Chinese cuisine so I stopped in at Panda House. It is located in Bellevue in a strip mall between Copps and Target and as you walk in there are many different colorful pictures of a few of their featured dinner items hanging above the counter where you place and pay for you order. They have a huge selection but I finally decided on steamed dumplings, you get 8 of them for $4.99, and Happy Family for $12.99.
I decided to eat in and I was struck by how very clean Panda House was and how organized the staff were; they worked well as a team. To the side are two rows of tables and the table tops are made with faux granite with ceramic tiles for the flooring. The server brought out my steamed dumplings first, they were very soft and fresh tasting and filled with a good amount of pork. They tasted delicious. Next the server brought out my main entree, the Happy Family, which consisted of Lobster meat, shrimp, beef, chicken, pork, crabmeat, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, bamboo shoots,
water chestnuts, Napa cabbage, celery, and mushrooms in a brown sauce with a side of steamed white rice. I was struck by how large the pieces of meat and seafood were; the lobster was real, not imitation and they also use fresh mushrooms not canned. Everything was very fresh and not overly salty; the brown sauce had a wonderful savory flavor. There were packets of condiments on the tables of soy sauce, mustard, and a sweet sauce but no extra napkins which would have been nice to have. It was nice a treat to get such a well made Chinese dinner where you might not expect it.
