Bar Review of Napalese Lounge in Green Bay, WI

Driving around the Green Bay East hood one day last week I passed by this light reddish brick building with rainbow windows. Upon a closer look, it turns out this place that I swear popped up outta nowhere is a bar. What the what? How in the world have I not seen this before? If it wasn't before noon on a Sunday I would have stopped in to check it out. Instead I decided to come back at a later drinking hour with reinforcements... err, I mean girlfriends.
At around 9ish my partner in crime and I parked across the street in the free street parking. They have a few spaces to park on the left side of the bar too. Napalese Lounge is like every other neighborhood bar, except that they heavily cater to the LGBT crowd. You have your regulars sitting at the bar, the dark interior, music in the background, a pool table, dance floor, and some arcade games. You also have gay pride as a running theme. Now if you are curious as to what type of LGBT bar this is, my guess would be more for the men. This does not mean ladies stay away. There were ladies too, just not that many.
The interior was dark with dark ceiling tiles to match. It resembled C Street in the way that it's a tad on the dated side even though it only adds to the charm. The bar is pretty long with plenty of seats and there are also some hi top tables too. On draught they have Bud Light, MGD 64, Fat Tire, Hi Life, Mich Ultra and (I think) Blue Moon. I ordered a bottle of Coors Light and my girlfriend ordered a Tecate. My bottle of deliciousness cost me $2.75 and the Tecate cost $3.25. The Fat Tire on tap would run you $3. And if you want to go hard core with 16oz cans of Hi Life, be ready to shell out $1.50. If beer is not your choice of liquid courage then you have your choice of any type of liquor under the rainbow : ) I'm not sure if they serve wine, I didn't see any out.
We sat at a table by the stage near the rear of the establishment. It was a Sunday night and the stage wasn't getting much use but they have karaoke on Wednesdays and once a month or so Napalese Lounge also has Drag Shows. Betcha that's why there's a disco ball above the stage! I was stoked when I learned that. I. Love. Drag. Shows. They are always a blast to go to. Check out the Event Calendar or call them up to see when the next one is scheduled.
For all you smoker lovers; they have a back patio with tables in order for you to enjoy your two favorite vices at the same time. It looked like a decent sized space and there were lights hung, which always kicks it up a notch in the atmosphere department. As for the music playing, well, it wasn't my favorite but it did get the bug in my ear to listen to Fleetwood Mac's entire celebrated collection. And for that, I thank you Napalese Lounge.
All in all, Napalese Lounge was a laid back filled night. I'll have to return on a drag show night for sure.
