Bar Review of Mikey's Pub in Green Bay, WI

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y, hey hey. It's Saturday night and some friends of mine want karaoke. Not me, just them. I have nothing against karaoke; it's just that I don't like it. Actually, that's a kind of a lie. I enjoy watching other people belting out Celine Dion power ballads or old 80's hairband tunes; it's just not something I personally want to do. So some gal pals and boyfriend and I hopped downtown to Mikey's Pub. It's located inside the Bangkok Gardens restaurant but not really. They share the same building and you walk in a common door to get to both, but when you're inside the shared hallway the left side is Mikey's and the right side is Bangkok but it's still kinda all connected.
We arrived too early for singing time but right on time for Happy Hour. Mikey's Pub has HH Monday, Friday and Saturday 8PM to 10PM. And the deals are $2 domestic pints and bottles and $2 rail mixers. Listen, do you hear that sound? That's the sound of me tappin' the Rockies with my Coors Light. In bottles, Mikey's Pub offers the usual Miller, Bud, and Coors products, while on tap they carry Bass, Bud Light, Blue Moon, Miller Light, Hacker and one of the Leinie's varieties. Plus they have a fully stocked liquor bar to come up with something creative or something gross like a Bacardi Seltzer (a friend's fave). And, AND Mikey's Pub also has a $3 shot menu, so you can go on a shot spree.
The karaoke starts at 10PM and is only offered on Monday, Friday and Saturday. Actually those are the only nights Mikey's Pub is opened. The other nights are reserved for private parties. The inside of Mikey's Pub is of a decent size and they have the lights dimmed low in order for everyone to look pretty. And there is a stage place set up for, yep, you guessed it: karaoke. When the time came, did I sing? Hell no. Did my friends sing? Hell yes. And then some.
