Restaurant Review of Lox Stock and Bagel in Green Bay, WI

I stopped in for lunch at Lox, Stock, and Bagel Cafe located in Allouez on the east border of Green Bay. The interior of the cafe is quaint with black and white tile flooring with a variety of colors painted on the various walls: red, purple, green, and adorning one side wall are metallic prints and photographs which are also for sale. They have great large picture windows in the front with stool seats and offer different reading material to browse with. Besides the tables that can seat four they also have some unique tables for single diners which are cut in half and placed against the wall. Lox Stock and Bagel has large glass cases which run along the length of the restaurant filled with their homemade bagels, baked and made from scratch on the premises, various pastas, cream cheeses, baked goods, and puddings all smelling and looking delicious. They also offer a large variety of coffees and teas, for the coffee they have a huge assortment of carafes that you can help yourself to with paper cups.
You order and pay for your food at the counter and they call your name when it is ready to pick up. There was a good selection to choose from but I finally decided to order a sandwich, a veggie burger for $5.95 in a wrap, there is also an option to have your sandwich on a bagel or bread. The sandwiches are build your own style with a choice of condiments, cheese, main filling, and three choices of veggies. I chose to have a little mayo with vinaigrette, red onion, sliced cucumber, spinach, and no cheese. A bag of chips and a pickle spear are also included. As I waited for my order they put on some background music, a woman singing some 40s tunes and since there was so much to look at my order was soon ready. My sandwich was wrapped in paper tissue and place on an oval paper plate with a bag a chips and a pickle spear. My sandwich was very tasty; the quality of the veggie burger was very good and the wrap it was put in was soft and fresh. When I stop in again I will have to try one of Lox Stock and Bagel’s pastas and a latte.
