You can tell summertime is finally here: the Harley bikers are out and about and these bad boys and bad gals are livin' it up at Long Branch Saloon! Actually on the Friday night when I went all kinds of bad boys and bad gals were partyin' it up there. My girlfriends and I included.

It started out innocently enough when we headed to this west De Pere bar for a quickie. I should know by now that most bars in West De Pere are not 'one and done' bars. And Longbranch is no different. This bar has the reputation of being a biker bar, but I should mention while this may be true, it's also a young person bar, an older person bar, a lovebirds bar (I saw them with my own eyes, all lovey-dovey-like); point is, it's a little bit of everyone's bar.

As we were entering Longbranch, a group of the nicest and coolest older men were leaving…on their bikes. I somehow managed to steal a Harley ride from one of them and I must say it's the most awesomest (it's a word) feeling ever. I highly recommend it. Back to the bar stuff – Longbranch may look small from the outside but it's fairly deep and can hold a lot of people. The bar is on the left hand side when you first walk in and the pool table and restrooms are towards the back. The bathrooms were also super clean, I might add. The beer was $3 for domestic bottles. They have plenty of the Bud, Miller and Coors products plus a fully stocked liquor bar. I settled for a Bud Light and my friends ordered the same. The bar was very crowded and while there were a couple of hi top tables we opted to mingle close to the bar for quick re-filing of our fermented beverages. I was still on my first beer and talking with some randoms (I mean that in the kindest way because those guys were cool), when I noticed one of my friends was slamming dice on the bar top with a couple of guys. She lost by the way. All three times. But I've never seen a happier loser!

The bartender that night was pretty nice and so was everyone in the bar. Most of the people I talked to said that they kinda frequent the bar had nothing but good things to say. I know on some nights that there is live music playing, but I would give Long Branch a quick call to see when those nights are. As a whole Longbranch was cheap and fun. I truly can't say enough nice things about the staff and people there, everyone was happy, relaxed and just having a great time.
