Bar Review of Little Tokyo in Green Bay, WI

This week's bar hotspot was a little different for me. I've been to this awesome joint, oh let's say more than a handful of times, but until the other night I have never imbibed. Say whaaaat? I hear ya, but allow me to explain. You see, it's a sushi place and when I eat sushi I'm like a monster, a sushi monster. (Think of Cookie Monster from Sesame Street and now transform that thought into a brown haired girl with the same wild eyes minus the fur, going crazy over raw fish goodies.) All I want is sushi, nothing else. I go there on an empty stomach in order to slam dunk roll upon roll and I want nothing to stand in my way. A girlfriend of mine convinced me it was time to mix sushi business with pleasure. We hopped in my car and jetted down the way to a place called Little Tokyo. Little Tokyo is located in the Historic Broadway District. Parking is available along the street or in a lot just past the Walnut and Broadway intersection.
Inside Little Tokyo there is a small bar with a few seats but I've never seen a bartender, so we opted for the restaurant part to get oureat and drink on. There is also a sushi bar to sit at for a more intimate setting. The restaurant part has booths lining the outer walls and tables with chairs in the middle. The booths will easily hold four or possibly more people comfortably, while the middle tables will accommodate bigger parties. My date for the evening and I popped into a booth and ordered some wine. I ordered a Malbec and my friend ordered the Pino Noir. They were both $6.25 each. They have a limited selection of wine, but it's thorough. They carry reds, whites and plum wine. For a beer selection Little Tokyo offers Miller Lite, Bud light, Sam Adams, Blue Moon, Mich Ultra, Spotted Cow, Corona, Labatt, Bass, Hacker-Pschorr, Stella, and a Honey Weiss. And since this is of an Asian persuasion, they also carry Sapporo, Asahi, Kiran, Tiger Beer and Lao Beer. Because I'm not a total stick in the mud I tried an Asian beer. A Lao Beer will cost you $4.50 and it's worth it. It tastes a little like flowers, but yet it's pretty decent. I wouldn't go out and buy a sixer of this, but I would totally order it again. Little Tokyo also has Sake (duh) and a drink menu for liquor beverages.
I wouldn't say their liquor supply branches out into all types and flavors, but who wants that when you can order a funky beer or sake? Seriously.
The décor around this sushi place fits in perfectly. There's Geisha artwork, a large map of Japan and other types of art that creates a very Feng Shui atmosphere. I would comment on the food too but when I eat sushi, I go into this trance where I lose track of time and space. I suppose you could always check it out for yourself :)
Sushi Restaurant Review of Little Tokyo Green Bay, WI

Little Tokyo is an appropriate name for this restaurant. It feels like a little picturesque piece of Japan in Green Bay. It has a soothing atmosphere with soft Japanese music playing in the background, serene scenic drawings on the walls, different cultural objects strewn through out, and a charming bar located in the corner.
They have a huge menu and colorful placemats with pictures and names of different pieces of sushi. On the lunch menu, I ordered their sushi set # 7 for $13.95, it has one dragon roll, one spicy tuna roll, and two pieces of eel. My food was excellent and the presentation was appealing, everything was fresh tasting and satisfying. The service was fine, with the exception that my tea was extremely weak, but the waiter brought more back with a much richer flavor.
