Bar Review of Half Time in Green Bay, WI

Okay, so these articles I write are supposed to be pretty much G rated so when I say I heard a song with a chorus that repeatedly sang "Birthday Sex" I'm telling you this in the nicest, most Disney-ish way possible. Remember this when you're reading...
I was meeting some friends at Half Time Bar & Grill which is located in the Green Bay East area off University Avenue. They have free parking around back and the lot is of the gravelly kind. Ladies leave your spring pumps at home, the parking lot will fight you in those shoes and you will lose. Plus Half Time is a cool enough bar that you don't have to get all dolled up for - unless you want to.
I arrived to see my smiling friends sitting at one of the few tables inside. The bar part was crowded, the music was a blastin' and Half Time already had that party atmosphere going and it was barely 6PM. Awesome. The bartender was super friendly and all over you for your drink order. Awesome times two. I got a Bud Light on tap – I know, I'm lame-o. A mug of Bud or Bud Light here will run you a dollar for their Thursday special, so maybe I'm a cheap lame-o. They also had Miller Lite, Hi Life, PBR and Stella on draught. Their beverages of the bottle kind are the same ones you see in most bars, except this place also carries Rolling Rock. I don't see that one in too many places. Also, they had a sign that read Busch Light 16oz cans were $2.50. I didn't see any other cans out there so I think it's safe to say that's the only one. This establishment also carries a wide range of liquor if beer won't quench your thirst.
Looking around I noticed that this bar isn't the biggest but they can certainly pack in people without the feeling of claustrophobia setting in. The bar is on the right side and a few tables are on the left. In the front are some arcade games and towards the back is a pool table. Next to the pool table is an internet jukebox. Or at least I think it was, because the song that I mentioned before was playing full blast. And I don't know what radio station would have that on rotation. The chorus verse make's it sound interesting but it truly is a TERRIBLE song. Also telling me that someone picked this melody out was a man dancing and singing to this. When I say dancing I mean grinding and when I say singing I mean purring. Disney, Aladdin, Lion King, The Little Mermaid. Now, that we are back on track with the light hearted theme I just have to say one more thing about the..uh, performance. It was the funniest thing you have ever seen. I mean, he was really into it and giving it his all. Awesome times three.
Half Time was a fun time with cheap drinks, a good crowd, loud music and plenty of atmosphere. If you want to see a good show, skip the Meyer and go to Half Time.
