Bar Review of Crystal Coffee in Green Bay, WI

I was out buying materials for a new project on my house when a girlfriend called. She was in desperate need of a pep talk. And all my friends know I'm the best pep talker in town. It was also the perfect time in the late morning to throw back some cold ones. Cold iced coffees that is. I met my girlfriend at the Crystal Coffee Cafe & Beanery just off Packerland in the Ashwaubenon area, not too far from the airport.
Just as a little background info here, the Crystal Coffee Cafe & Beanery was up and running in about 1994 by three sisters. All the Arabica coffee is roasted on site, so you know you're gonna get some fresh goodness. But to call it just a coffee house would be a big mistake. Crystal Coffee has a limited breakfast menu, cold sandwiches, wraps, salads and bakery yummy things. As for drinks they have, yes, coffee but so much more with teas, specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes and other espresso drinks. I was in need of a sugar fix so I ordered a small decaf iced latte with almond flavoring. And Holy Cheese Curds my Packer People, did they pack in the sugar. If you would have told me there was coffee in there I would have called you a liar. My friend ordered the same but with the caffeine and it tasted just as sugary. The small sugar delight drinks run 3 bucks each. Next time I think I'll order the latte and leave it at that.
Crystal Coffee Cafe is pretty cute inside and is of a decent size. After you get your drinks you can cozy on up and lounge around in one of the numerous soft chairs and read, chit chat, or if you brought your laptop, go surfing with their free Wi-Fi (if you purchase $5 or more). Make sure you check out the lights while you're there too. There are these crystal chandelier looking ones that I liked. Anyplace else those bad boys would have looked outta place but there for some reason seemed perfect.
Also at Crystal Coffee Cafe, they have plenty of room for business meeting or meetings of any other sorts. In fact, they hold a book club meeting once a month. And for next month they're reviewing The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. Maybe I'll have to re-read that book again and go give my two cents.
